As mankind continues down a path of endless violence and war, I am again drawn to the idea that most men should be castrated (medically or physically).
History has taught us that women can occassionally be violent but men take the prize when it comes to raping and pillaging over time. Sure, there were many creative men who knew how to control themselves and redirect their sexual energy towards less violent endeavors.
But I am afraid the time of the human male has passed us. It is time for the women to step forward and demonstrate how humankind can excel WITHOUT violence, with the help of men committed to a life of non-violence.
Given the state of our prisons, the overcrowding, the violence that lands many men behind bars, why not consider the possibility that violent men need to undergo castration and\or additional therapy to totally depress their violent tendencies.

I'm sorry, I don't want to live in a world where women are completely in charge, I think it is best for both sexes to be equal. Women can be more violent, look at women's prisons, they rape, and brutalize their fellow inmates, and women are extremely catty and cruel. In many ways, women are for worse then men because they let themselves be ruled by their hormones. I think I am going to have nightmares now because of this question!

Why don't we jump ahead and just sterilize all young girls? Then they couldn't get pregnant and have any male children.
Stick to decaf
Are you having your period? Castration? Are you on prozac? Did you just get dumped by your boyfriend? Cheer up pussycat.
Sure, castrate all the rapists, pedophiles, child molestors, and homo's. But that will not stop them from much, they will find a way. Women can be just as bad. If we were to adopt stricter rules like other countries, you bet people would think twice before doing something wrong.
hmm.
difficult to define the boundaries of anger / violence / instinctual reaction though, no?
it therefore seems difficult to enforce this idea.
I'm presuming also that regardless of one country adopting a policy like this, it couldn't / wouldn't be accepted by the world as a whole and at one time. so you have a rampaging male, non-castrato army to worry along with non-violent living.
this also denies the right to reproduce, which is surely something defended vehemently by women.
but maybe my male persective is what makes me find this idea cracked.
Sweety - it's a violent society that causes violence, not testicles. Sure, men are, due to the presence of testosterone, more likely by far to commit violent crime, but the why is every man not a criminal? The overwhelming majority are not. So testosterone will only make someone with criminal tendencies more violently so. We need to eliminate criminality. How to do this? There are many origins, the most obvious is a sense of unloved-ness. It is postulated that if everyone was unconditionally loved for the first 6 years of their lives almost all our social ills would disappear. Now I, for one, love women and have no time for the whole battle-of-the-sexes nonsense... but have you thought who frames all of society? Why, it is the mothers of the world of course. They are the ones who provide the love that establishes good self-images in healthy psyches (or not). Just a thought.
The law of equality that you must also worship on the side yourself, states that what is good for the gander is also good for the goose. What is good for the man is also good for the woman. So make both barren.
Take a look at the Guatemala Prison after the Afghanistan War. Female soldiers when being placed in a more superior position begin to unleashed their inner-beast and condone to sexually torturing the male prisoners.
Men are more towards the physical aggressor with an outward blatant brute force.
Women are more towards the psycology aggressor with complicated agendas and organized backstabbing.
Men and women, both are still human beings with animal instincts that would unfurled when provoked or given absolute power.
That is why Augustine Paul the famous judge mentioned that "Absolute Power Corrupts"!
