Autechre are pretty much the best techno artists in the universe. They use sounds that sound like they didn't come from this earth. It's hard sometimes and sometimes atmospheric. Early Plastikman is hard at times. Aside from that, there is industrial techno i.e. Skinny Puppy, Ministry..I'd go with Autechre though.
