Is it possible to save a streaming wmv file?

I was able to redirect the link to play in windows media player but i cannot save it. The Save as part is greyed out.

Is it possible to save live streaming videos in wmp?

Yup. I'd do it one of two ways:

1.) Paste the link to the video in a word document, and hit enter to create a hyperlink. (Note: this method will not work if the URL begins with mms://). Go to File %26gt; Web Page Preview. In the webpage that opened, right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As...".

2.) In case the file is on an mms server, use VLC, which you can download for free from videolan.org. To do so, go to File %26gt; Open Network Stream. Select HTTP/HTTPS.... and paste the URL of the file you are trying to download into the box next to it. Under Advanced Options (just below what you just selected), check Stream/ Save. Click Settings. Under Outputs, check File and Dump Raw Input. Click Browse to choose where to save the file. Click ok, then click ok again in the first dialog box. VLC will begin the download.

Your browser shouldn't matter.

Hope that helps!
